About the Project: Capital Walls is a public art endeavor by Albany Center Gallery and Albany Barn. This project seeks to inspire our community with uplifting, educational, or thought-provoking works of public art. Our first projects were commissioned by Albany Parking Authority, and the project has since grown to include projects like “Sawubona” that were funded by NYS Housing Trust Fund Corporation as part of the Albany Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The original Sawubona mural is located at 45 Columbia Street in Downtown Albany.
