Thirty-two emerging business leaders of the Leadership Tech Valley Class of 2013 visited Albany Barn at Stage 1 Friday, May 10th for “Quality of Life Day,” to discuss some of what makes the Capital Region a great place to live and work, ways to get involved in the improvement of our communities, and how to take advantage of the wonderful attractions and amenities that already exist!
During LTV’s half day at Stage 1, members of Albany Barn’s Board of Directors and Executive Director had the opportunity to explain the history, mission, and vision of the organizations, as well as take participants on a walking tour of N. Swan Street and the future home of The Barn.
After our ‘field trip’ down the street, participants came back to discuss “Arts All Around the Capital District” with representatives from Proctor’s Theatre, Albany Pro Musica, and Cohoes Music Hall before moving onto a rousing game of “Local Food Jeopardy” and a delicious lunch provided by Honest Weight Food Co-Op.
Albany Barn would like to give a big thanks to the Schenectady and Albany-Colonie Chambers and all of the members of Leadership Tech Valley’s Class of 2013 for spending Quality of Life Day with us!
