Carey Taylor-Noble
Ms. Taylor-Noble was born in Olean, NY. The only child of an award-winning journalist who wrote for The Boston Globe, she is proud to be a second generation writer, artist and entrepreneur. She moved to Boston in her teens, attending Great Barrington Pottery in lieu of high school. She married and raised two children in the Boston area. Ms. Taylor-Noble completed her BA in Psychology with a minor in English at Rhode Island College and spent two years in an Entrepreneurship Program. Ms. Taylor-Noble’s entrepreneurial pursuits include baking and ownership of Hudson Valley Hand-cut Scones. Carey’s all butter, from scratch bakery is on the premises at The Albany Barn and she is the first resident to explore the “culinary arts” on site. When Carey is not painting, writing or baking she may be involved with a research project at a local university. Her resume includes field research with Brown University and HRI – The School of Public Health, and currently SUNY, The Center for Human Services Research where she is an Analyst. Carey has worked in human services as a substance abuse counselor, a direct support counselor for the disabled,was formerly a columnist for Metroland and spent a number of years working as a Video Producer and Marketing Consultant for clients that include: Inc. Magazine, Oracle Corporation, Softbank, The Nature Conservancy, IBM, St. Lawrence University, WaterFire Providence, Lime Rock Park and a number of local clients.
