The ASAP Daisies present “Art for ALS” – an art exhibit and silent auction to benefit St. Peter’s ALS Regional Center. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a fatal, degenerative neuromuscular disease affecting motor nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Over time one loses their ability to move, speak, swallow and breathe.
As The Barn continues it’s evolution, we’re putting you in the driver’s seat. Here is a look at the blueprints of St. Joseph’s Academy and how we envision it to look like upon completion. We’re offering you a first look at the projected ‘innards,’ and we’d love to get your feedback!
Albany Barn and The Stakeholders, Inc.’s Arts Ambassador Institute (AAI) Class of 2011 have partnered to create a moveable mural with youth from the Evening Reporting Center (ERC) at Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region. The mural will be unveiled with a reception on Friday, May 6, 2011, at Stage 1, Albany Barn’s headquarters and community art space located at 46-48 North Swan Street in the Arbor Hill neighborhood.

Mary Frances Millet lives and works in her hometown of Schenectady, NY. Her studio is in the Jay St. Gallery in downtown Schenectady where she continues to create and teach watercolor and hand-built clay classes.

“The Reflections Series” Exhibition Opens April 1st on North Swan Street
ALBANY, NY – Albany Barn, Inc. will present “The Reflections Series – Empire State Cars” on Friday, April 1st, 2011 at Stage 1, Albany Barn’s headquarters and community art space located at 46-48 North Swan Street. A reception will be held from 5:00pm – 9:00pm in conjunction with the monthly “1st Friday” arts walk in the City of Albany. Refreshments will be served and the 1st Friday Trolley will provide complimentary transportation to and from the venue. Admission is free.
Erika grew up in a rather rural town between Woodstock and Albany in the art history rich “Hudson River School” area of New York State. From 1999-2000, she attended the Glasgow School of Art in Glasgow, Scotland where she had a studio in the famed Mackintosh Building.
