Join in a family-friendly DIY party with guided recycled art/craft projects in the theme of the New Neighbors by Tim Fealey exhibition at Stage 1 OR dive into the supplies and create whatever comes to mind! (Many supplies provided, but if you have crafting hand tools, its always recommended to bring them along!)

Opening Reception: Arbor Hillstory : a multimedia installation by Jamel Mosely
Albany native, videographer Jamel Mosely, explores the people and stories of Arbor Hill’s past and present through candid interviews and photo sessions aimed at capturing the human experience of this historic and culturally rich, but stigmatized neighborhood. New Neighbors is an interactive exhibition exploring vacant buildings and spaces in Albany’s neighborhoods with light-hearted imagination. Artist Tim Fealey’s photography sets the scene for imaginative creatures and features created in collaboration with the artist and local youth to add whimsy and vibrancy to our city’s untended spaces. Youth FX Screening & Artist Talk with Noelle Gentile, Aden Suchak, Gregory Theodore Marsh, Aaron Moore, and Willie Mae Fiddemon
For the Breathing Lights project, Youth FX produced series of short experimental documentary vignettes that explore the concept of home, community and belonging. These films are a form of resistance and empowerment telling stories of racial profiling, police brutality, and the refugee and immigrant experience from the perspective of young artists of color.
