Jeffrey Mirel, President – Jeffrey Mirel is the founder of Albany Barn. He is also Executive Vice President for The Rosenblum Companies, where he is engaged in a variety of operational areas, building partnerships, and pursuing new real estate ventures. Prior to that, Mr. Mirel spent seven years on the executive team at FirstLight Fiber (formerly Tech Valley Communications) and was Corporate Development Officer for the Albany Institute of History & Art. Mr. Mirel serves on the City of Albany Comprehensive Plan Board, Arbor Hill Implementation Team, and Albany County District Attorney’s Community Accountability Board. He is a 2012 Jefferson Award medalist, an Albany Business Review’s 2010 “40 Under Forty,” one of the Albany Times Union’s 2009 “Dozen Who Make a Difference” and a Metroland Newsweekly’s “Local Hero.” Mr. Mirel is a BSBA graduate of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business (cum laude).
Todd Ritschdorff, Esq., Vice President – Mr. Ritschdorff is an Associate Attorney with the law firm of Phillips Lytle LLP in the firm’s litigation practice group. Mr. Ritschdorff concentrates his practice in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, including workouts and reorganizations, and commercial litigation. Mr. Ritschdorff is a member of the American, New York State, and Albany County Bar Associations, and the Young Lawyers section of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Ritschdorff is also a member of the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association and sits on the Capital District Women’s Bar Association Judicial Task Force Committee. Mr. Ritschdorff has served Albany Barn as a Director since 2009.
Louis Apicello, Secretary – Louis Apicello manages the B3nson Recording Company and is a member of the Albany based musical group, Sgt Dunbar & the Hobo Banned. Since moving to Albany in 2009, Mr. Apicello has persisted in growing the Albany-area arts community and attracting national musical acts/audiences through B3nson, including co-directing the annual Restoration Festival. Mr. Apicello has served Albany Barn as a Director since 2010.
Lucas Ruglis, Treasurer– Lucas Ruglis is Vice President of Government Banking at J.P. Morgan, working with large government entities in New York State. Prior to his current role, Mr. Ruglis was a public fund strategist in the J.P. Morgan Asset Management group. He has also been an account executive in J.P. Morgan’s Private Client Insurance Agency within the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, a project manager working with the J.P. Morgan and Bank One merger, and a process and quality analyst in the Corporate Administrative System Group. Lucas is a graduate of the J.P. Morgan Internal Consulting Services leadership development program and J.P. Morgan Credit Training Program and is a Certified Treasury Professional. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Lucas has served on Albany Barn’s Internal Affairs Committee since 2013, and joined Albany Barn as a Director in 2014.
Craig Shufelt, Sgt. at Arms – Craig Shufelt is President of marketing and media firm, The Shufelt Group. Mr Shufelt graduated from RIT in 1996, Sage College of Albany in 1994, and has an extensive background in graphic design. Mr. Shufelt is also an active art photographer and abstract woodworker; his work has been exhibited at Capital Region coffeehouses, venues and festivals. Mr. Shufelt joined Albany Barn as a Director in 2011.
Adrienne D. Bonilla, Esq., Director – Adrienne Bonilla is an attorney, Assistant Vice President for Research, and Compliance Officer at the University at Albany – SUNY. She serves as the university’s Regulatory Compliance Officer, overseeing grants, contracts and regulatory compliance. She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys, New York State Bar Association (Health Law Section and Committee on Disability Rights), Capital District Women’s Bar Association, and the Albany Woman’s Club. Ms. Bonilla holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Empire State College, SUNY and Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School. Ms. Bonilla joined Albany Barn as a director in 2015.
William Berglund, Esq., Director – William Berglund is an attorney with the Albany based law firm, O’Connell and Aronowitz, P.C. His practice areas include Matrimonial and Family Law, Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigations. He is a member of the American, New York State, and Albany County Bar Associations; the Family Law and Young Lawyers sections of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Berglund is also a member of the Capital District Business Leaders, and was selected to the board of the Capital District Bankruptcy Bar Association. Mr. Berglund is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and a cum laude graduate of Albany Law School, where he was an associate editor of the School’s Journal of Science and Technology. He is a founding member of Albany Barn.
Jamison Flora, Director – Jamison Flora is a Business Banking Relationship Manager at Key Bank, and previously Business Banking Officer at Citizens Bank. Mr. Flora is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and alum of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “Leadership Tech Valley.” Mr. Flora joined Albany Barn as a Director in 2011.
Joanne Gambino-Morehouse, Director -Joanne Gambino-Moorehouse owned and operated Universal Auto Brokers on Long Island for 25 years when she decided it was time to fulfill some lifetime goals she had set aside years earlier. She returned to school on a full scholarship to Dowling College. After graduating cum laude, Joanne began work in the nonprofit sector as a grant writer for the Hispanic Counseling Center in Hempstead, Long Island. When she relocated to the Capital Region in 2001, she took a position as the Major Gifts Officer at American Red Cross of Northeastern New York. Since 2008, Ms. Morehouse has been the Director of Development at St. Catherine’s Center for Children, a capital region human services agency providing programs to children and families traumatized by homelessness, abuse and neglect.
Tony Iadicicco, Director – Tony Iadicicco is the Creative Director at Albany Center Galleries and an abstract expressionist oil painter. Mr. Iadicicco, a long-time Schenectady resident studied graphic design at Sage College, but he is a self-taught painter. His work organizing local arts showcases and fundraising events garnered him the inaugural “Art Ambassador Volunteer of the Year” award from The Stakeholders Inc. Mr. Iadicicco was also named one of the Albany Institute of History & Art’s “Tomorrow’s Masters Today” and 518Fever.com “2010 Local Artist of The Year.” Mr. Iadicicco joined Albany Barn as a Director in 2011.
Jamel Mosely, Director – Jamel Mosely is the owner of multimedia company, Mel eMedia, LLC, and co-owner/multimedia specialist at The Lab Multimedia Studio in Albany, NY. Mr. Mosely also worked as a user interface designer and communications for General Electric and The Office of the NY State Comptroller before dedicating himself fully to multimedia production in 2014. Mr. Mosely is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where he majored in electronic media, arts, and communications (EMAC), and studies recording arts at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Mr. Mosely grew up in the Arbor Hill neighborhood and continues to be an advocate for local youth through participation in programs such as Liberty Partnership and Youth FX. Mr. Mosely joined Albany Barn as a director in 2012.
Annette Nanes, Director – Annette Nanes is co-owner of the Spectrum 8 Theatres, an independent 8 screen Cinema in Albany, NY. In 1983, she and her 3 co-owners purchased the vacant 1940’s era Delaware Theater and developed it into the eight screen Albany landmark it is today. In 2009 Ms. Nanes and her husband, Scott Meyer developed and transformed a former plumbing store into the New World Bistro Bar, a restaurant serving creative International and New-American cuisine, a few doors down from the Spectrum. Ms. Nanes serves on the board of the Delaware Avenue Merchants Group, helping to revitalize and enhance the Delaware Avenue neighborhood of Albany. In 2010, she and her husband received the “Excellence in Small Business Award” from the NY Business Development Corp and NBT Bank. She attended SUNY Albany and graduated from Empire State College. She has been a long time supporter of the local Arts scene and has curated the Art displayed in both her businesses. Ms Nanes joined Albany Barn as Director in 2013.
Joshua Poupore, Director –Joshua Poupore is the Assistant Executive Director of the New York State Dental Association, a 13,000 member professional association representing dentists across the state. Previously, he was the Communications Officer for the Capitalize Albany Corporation, a not-for-profit economic development agency in the City of Albany, and spent seven years as a public information officer at Harvard University managing communications efforts for the Harvard Office for Sustainability, Development and Planning, as well as Government, Community and Public Affairs. Mr. Poupore holds a master’s degree in journalism from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Elmira College. Mr. Poupore serves on the Board of Directors of the Public Relations Society of America and is a member of the Empire State Society of Association Executives, American Society of Association Executives, and American Society of Constituent Dental Executives. Mr. Poupore has served Albany Barn as a Director since 2010.
